Ha, ha, ha... Don't be worried haters, trolls and crybabies, Warner Brothers will come to your rescue. Just let me know which WB movies are nominated in the same categories in order to put my money on them. This Oscar Award show is so rigged that even Trump must be proud of them. Bet on the WB movies to win on those categories, that's a given.

Quite strange the prequels didn't get more nominations. They weren't good movies exactly, but technically they were only surpassed by LotR.

Maybe the rumors about George Lucas having too many enemies in Hollywood were true...

Don't think so. I will check. But I can remember TFA having several noms too. All of them given to the WB movie. Trivia: Which Movie I am talking about? I do remember.

I found this to be a disappointing score (but I cut Williams a lot of slack due to his age and health at this point).

But much of the best moments were the swelling reuse of the Force and Leia themes, with some Rey theme sprinkled in. I really have a hard time remembering new music.

Just realised SW hasn't won an Oscar since Return of the Jedi! (TFA & R1 lost out on FX to ExMachina & Jungle Book)... wonder if Last Jedi can get FX or a sound over BR2049 or maybe John Williams can get his 2nd SW Oscar

I doubt they'll win anything on the technical side. Movies like War for the Planet of the Apes and Blade Runner 2049 looked too good not to give it to them.
