Leia sent Han to his death with that dumbass request. What was she expecting to happen? Kylo is a murderous villain who could've easily killed his own mother when the First Order blew up the Republic. Also, what would the Resistance have said when Han brought their son home?

She thought only Han could reach out to him - which almost happened. The struggle was all over Kylos face.
Luke is a Jedi, Han is his father.

Definitely a very touching moment. I predict it will torment Kylo Ren.
Torment, yes... but hopefully it will get him to start rethinking his path too...and maybe get him started of his journey back to the light. I want Han to succeed, and Ben to choose the light for himself, even though Han had to die to acheive it.
