Even The Phantom Menace is vastly superior to this garbage

Obviously TFA doesn't even come close to ROTJ, which is the weakest of the OT but vastly superior to TFA.

With that in mind, i can safely say with complete conviction that TFA is inferior to even Lucas' prequels. Why? Because at least the prequels were original. Sure, the execution was deplorable the writing and acting should have been of a higher quality, but in terms of artistry and creativity it was all there. There are actually moments of genius in the original prequels and these memorable scenes make the films re-watchable. For example, when Qui Gon Jinn meditates during the saber battle with Maul, only from the mind of Lucas could such a scene be executed near perfectly. Just one of many reasons why TPM is vastly superior over TFA

Yeah... aside from the fact that there's nothing particularly ingenious about that scene, it doesn't help that the scene only comes about because of those stupid videogamey on/off forcefields that serve no purpose at all except to inexplicably separate Obi Wan and Qui Gon even though they firmly established they have super speed in the beginning of the movie, and that the tone of this moment and the entire battle is undercut by the movie constantly cutting back to Jar Jar being a retard.

Not that any of this really matters. You could have brought up the lightsaber battle itself like most people do when trying to argue TPM had *something* worth remembering, and it still wouldn't change the fact that TFA is superior to TPM and the rest of the prequels.

A piece of the world is still missing.

Kylo Ren senses Han when he lands on Starkiller Base, yet doesn't sense him when he's right behind him.

Are we sure he didn't sense him there? I mean...what's the point in Kylo walking out across that walkway. It seemed to me like he sensed him, and foresaw that he'd reveal himself and meet him out there, where Kylo then planned to deceive and kill him.

I haven't read the novelization of TFA so maybe it provides a definite answer.

FFS, children basically saying ignoring execution is completely fine so long as new looking s*** is shoved on screen.

And what purpose does that serve! Does it tell us something utterly necessary about Qui-Gon's character just minutes before he dies? It's just a break in the action. Executed perfectly? What? That's a rewatchable scene to you?

It is a fact that people did, still do and will continue to re-watch The Phantom Menace.In fact should you ever chance upon the ultimate fanedit version, you have to agree the removal of unnecessary scenes almost graduates TPM to levels close to the OT.

I do not know of a single person who has bothered to re-watch TFA because the general consensus is far simpler than the ugly truth you fans fail to accept and continually
deny:

TFA is garbage perfectly suitable for dummies. Of course this is my opinion, though it is a view that majority of people support. The minority who believe otherwise remain in denial for the obvious reasons i have already outlined.

I read Jungle Book as a kid in the 70s I have also read Chiang's short story about years ago.

The Phantom Menace explored themes of duality and symbiosis. The theme of this film is that the original trilogy was awesome.

And just because a movie has a theme or multiple themes does not mean the movie is good or that those themes were well-handled.

The Midichlorian bit is such a throwaway moment that adds nothing to the rest of the saga. I've seen people try and argue it adds to the opera scene, but how does this add anything if the line was just that Plagueis was capable of using the Force to create life?

The Gungans and Naboo working together? Too bad the whole moment of them coming together features Portman at her most wooden despite the character literally pleading to save the planet. And then there's the fact that their plan only works if the Trade Federation is stupid enough to leave an entrenched position and engage some unknown army in an open field (good news for Amidala and company is they are), but even if they hadn't would this have prevented Amidala and her small force from sneaking in through some back route? So the Gungans' diversion is just there because George wanted more action and an excuse to further shove his beloved Jar Jar down audiences' throats.

It wouldn't. However, they would've been no match for an entire droid army.

Except they're moving forward and indoors through hallways. They wouldn't engage the whole army at all.

Again, this is all just an excuse for George to shove another action setpiece and to give Jar Jar things to do.

Yes. However, bad guys don't always make the smarter and easier move. For instance, Kylo Ren could've posted more stormtroopers to guard Rey.

Just because a film is more original doesn't always makes it better. Hell, the plot of Phantom Menace is Episode IV as well. The writing was *beep* the acting was wooden, the blend of practical and overuse of CGI does not age well and makes the film look artificial and despite creative looking worlds, it feels utterly lifeless and hollow. TFA is way superior than TPM.
