It seems the fight scene is done in one shot from the top of the stairs all the way until the get halfway through the car ride. But it's total deception. There were at least 7 scene changes that I could count. I like scenes like this, but I hate the deception involved in making such scenes. Either do it truthfully, or let it go. They treat the audience like we're dumb or something.

I enjoyed to movie and the complexity of the story, but a woman whipping up on multiple trained thugs is just a little unbelievable.

John Woo did a similar trick with the hospital finale of Hard-Boiled.

For about 15 minutes in the middle of the movie, it transforms into a fairly decent action flick. You have to suspend your disbelief for the weight class disparity but the fight, action, and directing are all good all of the sudden. Then it goes back to being the utter shit it was before that. It was like someone hijacked the film and kept the regular production crew and director at gun point while they tried to save the movie but the hostages overcame their captors and took control of the movie back. The movie is a dumpster fire. The nugget of decency in the center was not good enough to make me see a sequel.
A shame, really. I like Macavoy and sorta like Charlise.

The whole art of filmmaking is essentially a deception. There's a featurette on the Blu Ray about the creation of the scene. Charlize trained for the fights, and don't forget Lorraine was meant to be an experienced agent. Speed and technique can go a long way, if you know the right places to get someone. Half the thugs were just goons with guns.
