Bad Acting, Bad script, Bad Music, Bad screenplay

Is it only me who thinks this tv-show is ridiculous? I mean, the acting is so bad and it's all americanized "oh we are the best" theme throughout the show.

The idea of the show is great and I think it could have been twice as good if not bad acting, script, directing etc.

I do agree the patriotism is too thick at times, and the characters are quite stupid. i don't know why i watched this show. (probably because there's so little choice on free-to-air tv)

This show features Rhona Mitra. Why are you complaining?

I'm a great fan of Science.

reply

True. If they didn't just kill her off. Let's hope not. I still think it's a good show.

reply

She is by far the worst actor of the bunch.

It's about a US Navy ship, patriotism is to be expected don't you think?

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

reply

It's just about as much cheese as anyone can stand. I especially like how when there's a gun battle, good guys fire from behind cover while bad guys (even those with military or police training) sprint around corners like mindless zombies.

reply

You apparently haven't watched that many episodes. The bad guys are pretty efficient killers.

reply

True, it did get better. The first couple of episodes in season 2 sucked. And I nearly stopped watching. But it did get much better. I liked the battles between the sub and the ship.

reply

I have to disagree, Anton. I'm a very-left leaning liberal and I loathe forced patriotism and I don't get that feeling from this show.

I also think the acting is superb and the writing brilliant. This is one of my FAVORITE shows.

Yeah Americans are the people to hate these days I guess. Every post I read from a different country is hate filled. "Oh, It's American let's all hate them."

reply

I have felt the push of patriotism on the show, but honestly a lot of men and women in the forces are like that. It comes with the territory. I actually love the show. I did feel like they severely dragged the storyline with season 2 though. Also, Kara has been pregnant for two seasons now. Let's hope she's given birth by the season 3 premiere

reply

You anti patriotism people better hope the people in the military are "over the top patriotic" . They give their lives so you ignorant, anti military people have the freedom to continue to spew your venomous stupidity and hatred.

reply

And, everyone thinks their country is the best. If you don't want to see American patriotism, don't watch American shows. Americans have just as much right to love their country, and think their country is the best, as any other country in the world.

This isn't an award winning show. But for me, it's a fun 'bubble gum' summer show. It's not something to be taken incredibly seriously. Is this Breaking Bad? The Sopranos? The Walking Dead? No. But it knows what it is - and it's fun summer fare.

reply

It reminds me of a Seagal DTV. If you don't take it too seriously, it can be fun.

Precisely.
