They Wouldn't Kill Clair, Here's Why....
As a cult they follow a code. And for this cult, they have to kill after they light the red lamp. So there is a great chance Clair isn't dead and was let go by Pruitt.

shareI don't think Pruitt cared about the cult, he's just a raging psychopath who enjoys killing and by pure chance, found an ideology that condoned it.
He was a stranger to Claire, why would he need to speak with her?
I think he killed her.
When Kira was beating him down, he tried to fight back, he wasn't accepting his fate that he had to die with all the others. I'm even of the opinion he wasn't going to kill himself, he would've escaped leaving the dead bodies behind.

No, he killed her.
If they planned on getting away with this murder, she would be a loose end - because she was suspicious.

I don't think she was suspicious. She just felt extremely uncomfortable, especially after Pruitt's story, and wanted to leave. She had no idea about what would eventually happen.
shareI thought he let her go, too, since the film didn't address her character again. But thinking about it, Pruitt would have just let her leave. I think the fact the movie showed him asking her to stop signaled she had been killed. He had to know he couldn't convince her to stay, being he's a murderous stranger to her, when her friends couldn't even convince her.
I don't see why she would have stopped for him once she was driving off in the first place. I think he creeped her out the most with his confession.
I never considered that! I just assumed she must've been killed also. they definitely left her fate open to speculation.
shareI think he killed her. He made a big thing about telling them "he just apologised to her" When he came back into the house.
Plus once it came to light, if their original plan to kill everyone came to light, she could of mentioned seeing the video about the cult. Which would of needed to of been kept hush hush.
So I think he killed her.
"Life is like a movie. Only you can't Pick your Genre"
I agree. He definitely killed her. He waited until her car got to where she couldn't be seen.
shareIf he killed her, how did he do it? There is no evidence he had a silencer for his gun. And I suppose he could have strangled her, but given how suspicious Will was (screaming "let her go!!" to David), it's not likely Pruitt would attempt something that might be time-consuming or not a guaranteed success that might make Will come out and check on her. I think he let her go.
shareThey showed Claire's body in one of the rooms. A lot of people missed on here missed it but he did kill her. When she was just about to drive away the wife killer guy (forgot his name) goes and catches her real quick and Will is interrupted. But, that is when he hit her on the head.I believe they show her in the room that Will said there was a door that led to the garage but the door wasn't there anymore.
shareNo, they didn't show her body.

There is a body at 126:15 I am pretty sure it is Claire, based off her clothing and her hair.

We see the Asian couple, and then Tommy in the green shirt. That's it. Why would anyone go get Claire's body, drag her upstairs, and drop her on the floor, when they still need to kill the others?
\o/ STEVE HOLT!
to hide her body, maybe they didn't want to do it in the garage and the big guy (wife killer) after he let her out and STOPPED from driving off for no reason what so ever, he could have easily killed her, we don't know for sure because Will was distracted by his ex-wife's new boyfriend, David. that looks a lot like her laying off to the side. Who else could it be?
shareIt's Tommy, as I said.

How exactly could the cult be kept hush hush when an entire hill of houses (that we know of) either massively committed suicide or went on a killing spree? Don't you think the police would have investigated and found out the video in at least one of the houses, so making the correlation with all the other dead people?
I also think he killed her, but not for this reason. The cult obviously wanted to take as many people as possible with them, at least everyone who saw the video - and thus could ... locate the others in the afterlife (absurd, I know..).
Fanboy : a person who does not think while watching.share
You make a good point that Eden and her boyfriend want all their friends around them in the afterlife. However, there seems to have been a desired ritual about the whole thing, waiting until the end of the night and everyone dying together, which leads me to think they let Claire go.
Pruitt's interaction with Claire--walking outside with her, stopping her one last time as she's driving away--could be another scene to make us think Will is just paranoid, which is the same effect the Choi plotline has.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!"--Pres. Merkin Muffley
considering what a mess this film was, i doubt they thought that far.
