Its been a Great year for Marvel

Between Daredevil, Agents of SHIELD which are both fantastic AOU which I have no words to describe how amazing that was and the surprise for is Ant-Man did not except it to be that good all in all a Marvelous (pun intended)year for Marvel although season 3 of AOS starts this year, Jessica Jones may be released too. Never the less 2016 cant come sooner

2016 will have a tough act to follow. EVERYTHING this year has been stellar.

Agent Carter was the only average effort I'd say and that was still very entertaining. The only thing that held that mini-series down was the lack of real tension. Knowing that Howard and Peggy survive intact took all the thrills out of those last three episodes.

Daredevil was as good as it gets. Ant-Man is a pure delight. AoU was the perfect action sequel.

Right on point everything marvel did this year was different AOU was an Action, Adventure AM was a Hesit, Adventure Daredevil is serious crime fighting show, Agent Carter was all about the origins of SHIELD

Agent Carter was not all about the origins of shield. It was all about Howard Stark.

Marvel simply generates summer saving material each and every year.

While Hulu is a nice side business for Disney and the others, it could have a much larger role if the streaming wars continue to heat up. Marvel/Disney is a diversified entertainment giant and I'm not about to start doubting them going forward.

Don't forget, Jessica Jones is still to drop this calendar year.

Jessica Jones has been every bit as good as advertised.

Every bit. The critics are right again.

I didnt love everything but yes its been a generally great year for Marvel. I think DD was the big break out hit and AM was a surprise hit since people were predicting that was going to tank.

And good news it was confirmed today Jessica Jones will be released this year for sure. No date but sounds like in the final quarter of the year and my guess either October or November. Probably announce something in a few weeks.

Marvel 2015: Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, Avengers 2, Daredevil, Ant-Man, Jessica Jones!

reply

Yeah AM was the big surprise If AOU had maybe not misled people into thinking the movie will be really serious it could have been liked more, AM started to give a serious tone in the first trailer but they changed it and people knew what to except.

I know nothing about Jessica Jones and don't want to I want it be really surprising for me and yeah it may release Q4

I think Daredevil was an even bigger surprise than Ant-Man. Both are great but Marvel isn't going to let a film out that's sub-par. Some people figured they had not much skin in the game over on Netflix. Add the DD 2003 movie and who knew what was going to happen? They hit is out of the park.

Definitely. Everything this year has been on a scale from good to awesome.
Agent Carter, the second half of Season 2 of AoS, Daredevil, Avengers: Age of Ultron and now Ant-Man. And from what I've heard, Jessica Jones is great too and we're getting that and the start of AoS season 3 this year.

That's the truth and I expect the Fall season of AoS and Jessica Jones to fall in to the "awesome" category.

Daredevil was incredible, it's the great first chapter to the Netflix wing of the MCU. But everything else was average at best. Agent Carter is a step up from AOS, but that show is terrible (though it looks to start getting better). AoU underperformed in every way imaginable (still a decent flick, but nowhere near the first) and Ant-Man is surprisingly not awful.

2014 had two movies (TWS & GOTG) that overperformed to a significant degree. The Winter Soldier is the best MCU film to date, while Guardians became a runaway hit after I was afraid it would get laughed out of the theaters when it was announced.

It certainly hasn't been a disaster this year for Marvel, they're still printing money and keeping people interested in their content. But all things being equal, I'd consider 2014 to be a larger success.

My ass. Only thing decent from Marvel this year was Daredevil. Stop exaggerating, you Marveltards!

It's only going to get better when Jessica Jones is released on Netflix.

Since 2008, what year hasn't been? In 2011 they gave us two new franchises that both rock.
