A blockbuster that is as epic as it is profound!

"The stakes on the line in this action adventure are not only sky-high but soul-deep. Whedon hits both points with an almighty wallop, resulting in a large canvas blockbuster that is as epic as it is profound." - Matthew Pejkovic Top Critic

Does anyone want to try and dispute this critic quote? I see angry bitter bash attempts that have sprung up out of jealousy over Marvel's success but I've seen very little actual critique of the movie itself.

The movie itself is damn good and is getting praise by most that have actually seen it. Most movie sites (fan based or otherwise) are pointing out just what worked and words like "epic" and even "profound" are popping up all the time. Some fans are taking time to point out what they would have liked to have seen instead in certain cases. With blockbusters that are this big, it's natural for expectations to run high.

Those are real indications of true word of mouth. On these pages at the moment, the haters are taking advantage of people in the USA avoiding IMDB for fear of spoilers. Yet, in life the truth often wins the day.

Watch and learn and try to refute that proper assessment above. You know you legitimately can't.

Anyone that is saying that it did is a flat out liar with an agenda especially at this late date. We all enjoyed the hell out of this film.

It's worth pointing out that this particular critic may be the smartest of them all...

It’s textured, intelligent, fun, thrilling and delivers some of the best choreographed fights scenes the genre has ever seen. Most everything feels like a live action jump off the page comic book. Although, it’s the “mega-event” crossover type comic book. Certain comic book storylines can be either intimate or can be epic and vast. This film is very full and jam packed but in a good way. For comic book fans, AoU is more “Secret Wars” or “Infinity Gauntlet” in terms of delivering a mega-star event. Other MCU efforts like Netflix’s Daredevil or Captain America The Winter Soldier are in the same vain but much more intimate. As blockbusters go, this movie delivers what a sequel should as it ups the ante in every aspect. New characters introduced really work and familiar ones get to shine. My only complaint is that I would have liked to have seen more depth and context given to Ultron’s origin and to The Vision. I have a distinct feeling that both characters had scenes that hit the cutting room floor and will be interesting to see on any Blu-ray extended cut. Thor also seemed to get shortchanged in favor of pacing. Overall, the impressive cast really delivered and AoU delivers pure entertainment. It manages to tie off Marvel’s phase two perfectly and does lay the groundwork for the next phase in a wonderful and subtle manner.

Arriving at one goal is the starting point to another.

I'm glad the movie is still resonating with most people even a year later. That's when you know they did it right.

This movie is better than Lebron James.

The shear intelligence of this kind of blockbuster never ceases to amaze me.

The third Avengers movie will make it the best trilogy of all-time taking away Captain America's title. He owns it right now.
