It gets better and better with each viewing!

After seeing antman, civil war and the other Netflix shows this movie gets better each and every time I watch it!

I find this very true for me with Iron Man 3.

Yes, the very first time I saw IM3, I was like, meh. But, when I finally went back and watched it again, I enjoyed it much better. With each viewing, I've really come to understand this movie and I really like it now.

What Marvel movie doesn't get better or hold up each and every time? There's so much to enjoy in every film. There's also so much depth. When a new MCU film comes out you want to re-watch what has come before because those older characters grow even more complex. Watching First Avenger after seeing Civil War is one such example. Everything is now magnified in First Avenger.

I agree that it does get better with each viewing.

If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now.-Loki (Marvel's Avengers)

Most Marvel movies do. But the ensemble pieces really shine to me because I love watching these people interact together. I really loved the personal moments together. Marvel has done such a great job of setting up all these characters that when they come together, they feel so natural.

Some of my favorite moments from Age of Ultron (and the original Avengers) have nothing to do with the action scenes. It's the moments where the characters are just finding ways to come together, cope, and interact with one another.

Tony's "We are not soldiers," to Steve is almost heartbreaking in how he delivers it. The after party scenes with the Avengers in Age of Ultron are great when you see them just being a family and how quickly they turn on their game faces when Ultron appears.

You are sin.

I agree. These were some of my favorite scenes. It showed them having a connection, and made the movie more than some action flick by giving it heart.

I have the exact opposite reaction. The more I see of these movies, the more bland, generic and flat they feel.

Get off your soapbox while I play you a tune on the tiniest violin.

I agree. I freaking loved this movie. I only love about 5 MCU films (Avengers 1, Avengers 2, Civil War, Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy) but with the exception of maybe Iron Man 2, all of the MCU movies are at least okay.

I, for one, was hugely impressed by AOU on my first viewing. In my mind, it was as entertaining as the first one but also more thought-provoking. I liked it so much that for some reason I didn't feel like it was going to leave much of an impression on me after multiple viewings. But no, it definitely gets better every time I watch it.

You want something corny? You got it!

Just watched it again, and i totally agree with the OP. It is the old story of being able to pick up new things you may have missed, and also gleaning better insight, and understanding, for various plot points, and story structure. Great job by all, especially Joss!
