We pretty much all in agreement here? Both the plot and action were choppier this time around....still enjoyable but not as good.

Agreed. Everyone enjoys any Avengers movies but some are better than others. 1st was better overall.

Age of Ultron was a much better film than Avengers. Besides the fact that it was the first time a CBM ever had a movie where superheroes team up. The first Avengers wasn't anything special. The action is good, the one liners were good but that's it. Loki was a joke of a villain and didn't pose as much of a threat. Granted, Ultron wasn't perfect either but he was a way better villain than Loki was. You talk about AOU had pacing issues, the first one dragged quite a bit in the 2nd act when they were on the Hellicarrier.

The first Avengers film was EVERYTHING special and is still considered the king by most people.

It's a close call but the Avengers film still holds as the best we've ever seen.

I'm in agreement. The first Avengers worked because of it's simplicity, Age of Ultron tries for a more complex story but ends up being rather messy and loads itself with way too many characters and subplots.
