Disturbing: 17 years age difference between Daniel Craig and Léa Seydoux!

He can be her father for Christ's sake! Yet, in the movie they are sleep with each other.

The love making scene is disturbing to watch.

reply

I don't know how old Madeleine's character is supposed to be, but Léa is in her mid 30s.

What's wrong with that?

reply

I wondered the same thing. It’s not “disturbing” at all. Many women prefer more mature men, who actually know what to do with a woman.

reply

Much as I hate whataboutism, Roger Moore and Tanya Roberts (ages 59 and 32) looked far more ridiculous together.

Plus that, Seydoux has an "old soul" look to her. I noticed it in "Ghost Protocol," when she was only 25 yet seemed far more worldly and sophisticated than most of her co-stars

reply

Moore quit the series when he found out he was ilder than Roberts' mother.

reply

IIRC Moore said something like 'I didn't mind when I started having to have stunt doubles during the action scenes, but when I started having to have them in the love scenes it was time to quit.'

reply

Sounds like classic Roger Moore.

reply

But Moore and Tanya Roberts had the most chemistry together of any Bond movie

reply

They are consenting adults who are both of legal age, and in the real world, there are many couples with wide age gaps. I think you have a problem.

reply

In real world we don't get to see them make love, in this movie, we do (ew~~~~~~~).

reply

We actually don't see anything beyond some kissing and them cuddling afterwards.

reply

My god, getting upset about a supposed age difference between two actors...how judgmental and intolerant can a person be.

reply

You have a valid point. Someone saying they don't approve of age gaps between two consenting adults is no different than saying they don't approve of interracial and/or gay relationships between consenting adults - judgmental and intolerant.

reply

Hmmm, my last "adventure" was 22 years younger. None of us saw a problem in that and sex was quite good.

And no, I didn't pay for it ...

reply

but you were 38 at the time. Just Kidding but I had to say it. :)

reply

16 is legal in most countries and states.

reply

No one likes grey bush.

reply

Take your Millennial hysterics someplace else....

reply

Exactly, what is the problem millennials have with age gaps? My father was thirteen years older than my mother and they had a long, happy married life.

reply

Kidding or Trolling ?

A father 17 years old? Watch the movie or don't. I have to assume by now everyone knows what the James Bond franchise is all about, not to mention, Hollywood itself. So if you are going to criticize, how about something a bit more sophististicated and intellectual? If you are going to moralize, why were you watching it in the first place?

reply

Disturbing?

I say: go, Bond, go!

reply

Yeah, so what???

reply

Nothing wrong with a 17 year gap, especially when those are both above 25-35 years old.

reply

I didn't say it's "wrong," but it's very disturbing, can't they cast a older woman, or not shows sex scene?

reply

You’re the only 1 disturbed here, bub.

reply

I'm disturbed also

reply

You don't watch much movies, do you?

In "Sabrina (1995)" the age gap is 23 years.

In "First Knight (1995)" the age gap is 35 years.

In "Entrapment (1999)" the age gap is 39 years.

And you are shocked by this?

reply

I understand your idea from another thread of hate, stronger than love. Yet people act from human will, more often than intellect. In fact, it's better to not rely solely on what's known outside of experience. Anyway, the reason to believe in divine love, is really because it's using all the mind, soul and strength.

reply

Didn't bother me in the last movie but Bond looked like a rumpled pillow in this one.

reply

Yep, in Spectre, they look more like father and daughter, in No Time to Die, OMG, they look like grandfather and granddaughter.
