The baby scene was funny!
The baby scene which was a reference to Antichrist's scene was pretty cheeky i thought :)

shareI wouldn't call the scene funny. Certainly less than hilarious in Antichrist. But Lars did mess with me this time, that's for sure. I was braced for utter heartbreak. But Lars pulled back. He chose less dire consequences! That's a shock right there.
shareYeah, woo, let's laugh at babies dying! Hooray! Everyone will be impressed by me now!

What would you do if I died today?
I'd die tomorrow.
i thought it was pretty stupid. its usually a technique done in half-assed comedies to have such on the nose references to ones previous movies (especially movies that arent that old).
shareIt's just von Trier playing games with the audience as usual. We're are not suposse to take it too serious.
Personally, I couldn't help to smile when he gave us that horrible opening scene from Antichrist but with a positive outcome. I actually think it was quite brilliant. He's playing with our expectations.

lol having watch Antichrist first, that baby scene in Nymphomaniac II scared the crap out of me! So glad the baby didn't die, but yes quite cheeky of the director.
shareYES I highly enjoyed it ......alternative ending to THAT tragedy .....
She still has to pay a lot for her freedom, but this one has HUMOUR.......and that child!!
