What will this mean for the future of the Dark Universe?

I do think it will become the highest grossing of the four movies because of international box office.

Not a great start, especially when you consider ticket prices now vs. 20 years ago. It will have to do very well overseas. I think it is going to see a huge week 1 to week 2 drop as well. I don't think it will kill the Universe tho as Universal seems to be putting a lot of money and A-list talent behind it. I do think for the next movie they will have to find a director who is more attuned with directing action sequences, not just a first time guy.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/rrT_CyvSp5c

As long as it has staying power in the international market (which it currently is), then it'll be a huge success in its own right. So if they play it right next time, the Dark Universe will have no problem attracting a bigger domestic audience.

It's going to go up in flames. But not before they make three or four of these things. The main thing this series need to work right is: the time machine character. We need to keep classic monster origins in their timelines, but still be able to pull them out to crossover and team up as needed.
