WHO ASKED FOR THIS?!

Honestly, did anybody want another remake of a bad Brendan Frasier remake? Who wanted this to be made? What is Hollywood thinking? Seriously. Anyone who was hoping "hot damn, I wish they would remake the mummy again" PLEASE tell me.

reply

Why the double standard? Dracula and Sherlock Holmes both had hundreds more adaptations. Is it because those characters are white but the mummy is from Africa?

reply

Why do you need to play the race card? Brendan Frasier was the lead, and white. The last remakes I just didn't care for, and it seems like they're reaching really hard. The original was good, the first remake was ok, then the "Dragon emperor" one was awful.(no. Not because jet li is Asian.) It was just bad. Now they're trying to rehash and rehash in on the fact that the first remake was decent. Its absurd. They took the last run too far until it for bad, and now want to remind people "hey, the first two were good and this has the same name! Just give it a chance!

reply

The original was good

The original was made in 1932, and starred Boris Karloff.

Send her to the snakes!

reply

I'm aware of that. The original was good (1932) the remake was ok(Brendan frasier)

reply

Brendan Frasier was in the 3rd remake. Universal rebooted if after the Karloff movie and later Hammer did it.

reply

Plus, Russell Crowe doing Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde..? Wtf is that?!

reply

being in africa doesn't make a nation non white. Egypt historically has been a bit of a melting pot but the majority of Ancient Egyptians look no different than modern egyptians IE closer to middle eastern than dark african.

I have to believe you are a troll.

I DID (you got a problem with that?)

The audience? You people spent billions on Marvel films so shared universe films are all the rave now.

Ironic considering the Universal monsters were the first to share the same universe in films I think....read it somewhere.

This will be the only comment or reply you'll get. Like I give a sh!t about YOUR interwebz opinion.

So instead of superheroes fighting, making wisecracks, blowing things up, and destroying a modern city... classic monsters will be fighting, making wisecracks, blowing things up, and destroying a modern city. I didn't ask for that.

reply

It's a "remake" or "reboot" in name only. None of the characters are the same, the storyline is different. The timeline is different. It's just a movie with a mummy!

reply

This isn't a remake of the brendan frasier films. It is a new reboot of a centuries old story that will be part of a multi movie shared Universal Monsters movie series. This is just the first of the several new monster movies to be released in the next several years and i for one am looking forward to it.

reply

Universal wants to make a shared universe like Marvel with monsters
