Why did Denton choose the to investigate the missing girl with links to Dryden? Was it a coincidence?

How did Denton know to investigate that particular garage?

Denton had witnessed Carly being exploited sexually and then physically abused before she joined Missing Persons. When looking through the list she spotted Carly and decided to try to either find her or find out what happened to her.

She found the garage in Yellow Pages - that was a coincidence?

She was concerned for the girl. When she saw her case come across her desk she decided to pick it back up

Denton was legit concerned about the girl. She saw Tommy beating her up, and she was about to arrest Tommy in the parking lot in one scene by the female officer arrives. She was just legitimately concerned
