I heard that season2 is still in the air, are there any Dracula fans? Can we do sth to make season2 continue?

shareUnless JRM gets his drug abuse under control the show will not renew. My sis knows the show creator and some writers and she told me the show was canceled due to JRM difficulties. He needed a babysitter basically to keep him clean. The show and network cannot come out and say this but this is the real reason.
I pray JRM can get healed not just for the show but to get his life back.

Its not NBC's fault. Johnathan Rhyse Meyers was difficult on set and he was having issues with drinking etc. He is the reason the show was not renewed. It has nothing to do with ratings or such. JRM was impossible to control. This told to me by one of the writers of the show.

What a shame. I was just starting to get into it via streaming episodes online. That's the problem with getting attached to television shows. You just don't know when that stupid Neilson system is going to kick you in the balls.

not sure if you heard, but you can stream on netflix, and they are doing a second season, and it may be starting in the next few months...netflix is big on bringing back shows, and starting new ones....look into "bitten", it's on netflix, and it's about werewolves, based on a books series by kelley armstrong. i hear it's good.

This whole "Netflix doing a new season" story sure is being pushed here. And yet no one has ever managed to post anything to back up their claims other than a reference to a likely bogus article on a questionable website and the fact that Cole Haddon didn't admit that the show he wrote died a painful death due to his own crappy writing.
clpierce1977, are you claiming insider knowledge not available to the rest of us or can you actually provide any links whatsoever to back up your claims? Because I'm starting to suspect the motives of people who keep pushing this bogus story which has already been debunked here on the boards.
I wish people would realize that spamming the IMDB boards is not going to get a new season. Spamming Twitter is not going to get a new season. Spamming Farcebook and other social media websites is not going to get a new season. And tactics such as online petitions and spreading phony stories are not going to get a new season! For production companies, this is a BUSINESS decision. It will be made solely on the basis of whether or not it looks like a good business decision, which means number of viewers and DVD/BluRay sales, not how long the diehard fans whined.
