Why was Emma attracted to Adele?

I'm curious as to what people's thoughts are: what do you think attracted Emma to Adele? I understand why Adele, as a teenager, would be attracted to an older university student who seems cultured and confident in her sexuality, but what do you think drew Emma to a high schooler? It must have been more than just physical attraction, as they were together for a number of years.

i don't think that this needs much of an explaination. adele is cute as fu*k, she is a "virgin" and she seems to be a more grounded person, than the "artsy" people emma is around of normally.

as an average guy, adele's face would be enough reason to get to talk to her in the first place and if the rest is cool too, why not get something started? (if both parties are solo, that is...)
