It worries me that so many of you have so little going on in your lives that you spend obscene amounts of time on this board to complain about a fictional TV character. It's also obvious with some of the comment histories that one person has multiple profiles. It's a TV show and Gabby is not real! Calling her a b*tch and giving her a childish nickname indicates the level of your maturity. There are much better topics of discussions that can be had. Nothing she says or does will appease you at this point, so let's move on from Gabby. She's one character in a show full of great characters and compelling story lines.
Gabby haters why don't you hop over to Facebook and check out the over 1500 POSITIVE comments about the Dawsey Wedding. So, it's not just Twitter with the fan base. Your few negative comments here don't count for the opinion of the millions who tune in every week.
Sad, when I read the negative comments here it's the same few posters. Gabby and Dawsey are 100 episodes strong. So I say yes, move on and stop the hate.
We don't have to do anything. We can express how bad the show is and how sick we are of Gabby. You think 1500 people represent all of the Chicago Fire viewers. And I bet you never even watched the first 2 seasons, so you don't the significant dip in quality that has happened since then. When storylines weren't dominated by Gabby. When Casey was his own man and didn't just cave to people.
I bet if the Casey that we see now was around in Season 1, he would have blamed himself for Darden's death. He would not have fought Hallie about wanting kids. And he would have altered his report to let Voight's son off the hook for the DUI.
Even Jessie Spencer has openly stated that he wishes his Casey character had some balls again. His character gone from being strong-willed and dead-set in his choices to simply being a pushover who always caves to whatever Gabby's needs are.
Chicago Fire is the third best Chicago show now and will probably fall to fourth after Chicago Justice comes out. And why? Those shows are authentic and hold true to first responders they represent. Chicago Fire doesn't come close to representing the CFD anymore, like it did in it's first few seasons. It's all about Gabby.
Keep thinking the 1500 Facebook fans are representative of all Chicago Fire viewers.
Memphis Raines: I'm a little tired, a little wired, and I think I deserve a little appreciation!
Interesting take, however let me give you some facts. Chicago Fire has been and for the foreseeable future will always be " Big Brother" of the Chicago franchise. It is NBC' s second highest rated scripted show and the highest rated 10:00 p.m. scripted show on broadcast TV. Source: TVSeriesfinale. While I enjoy both Med and PD, there ratings are substantially below CF. A season 6 is almost a certainty which is remarkable in the current TV landscape.
I don't like the Dawsey thing either as the Casey character has been so marginalized that there is almost no where to go in the future. Fortunately it appears that Severide will be the featured lead the second half of this season starting with the crossover tonight. His complex character is infinitely more interesting than Casey.
Contracts are soon to be negotiated and I even wonder if Jesse Spencer will stay.
LOL you do realize that the show's official Facebook page has over 2 million followers right? 1500 positive comments out of 2 million followers is nothing LOL...nice try though.
