A Really Wonderful film
I think 7.8 on IMDB is the right score for this wonderful film. I think it's Curtis greatest film more so then Four Wedding or Notting Hill. It's sad that the trailers tried to have it come off like it's a rom com and about time travel, when it's really about fathers and sons.
I don't think Bill Nighy has been better then in this. Domhnall Gleeson does his best Hugh Grant and succeed's. Rachel McAdams hasn't been as lovely or sweet in a film since or before, you totally by why Gleeson's character goes through all the stuff he does to be with her. Great to see the beautiful Margot Robbie in a small role. I found Lydia Wilson's Kit Kat rather annoying after a while but Curtis always has a character in his scripts that really grates lol.
The romance with McAdams and Gleeson's is probably Curtis's most likable to date. But this film is all about Nighy and Gleeson and it's wonderfully touching and funny. I doubt Curtis will do anything better if he tries.
