Has the Emmy committee ever watched Bates Motel?
I can't believe that Freddie and Vera got shut out of the Emmy nominations after their outstanding work this season. smh
shareRegarding the performances it seems that the efforts of Vera and Freddie are being overlooked. While Vera for me is very good to watch for ability and even though ageing still attractive as well Freddie has shown moments of believable insanity. Have not seen any GOT but it must have a great following. It is an action medieval fantasy tale so actual acting might not be that necessary.
GA GA is a treat for me to watch perform. I feel that she does have a voice and while shocking at times is an artist of many talents. Her part in AHS was welcome but her acting could hardly be in the league of those many other established actors in this enjoyable run. I would therefore agree that many awards are due to everything but genuine acting ability. It has been predicted that the acting nonentity Rhiana will get a nod just for being on screen probably undressed to numb certain audiences brains.
It would be interesting to know just what committee members have actually watched without it being a chore.
Just finished part two of season 4 and was impressed with Vera and Freddie especially the interaction in those dramatic moments.
For those who question the sizes of the set rooms compared to the visual impression we see. The Bates home has an interior based on the TARDIS of Doctor Who? Spacious inside but with a small footprint.

What a slap in the face that would be for Vera and Freddie who have consistently been on top form but never nominated. But the only time Bates Motel comes close to the Emmys will be because of some PR stunt to appease Rihanna fans.
