The dog...
Anyone know how the "dead dog" looks so real? Doesn't look like a stunt dog...

I wonder how all the "pro animal" people here feel about the murder of viable humans that can't speak for themselves... I mean abortion.....
I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!
You know there are tranquilizers. And please don't bitch about animal cruelty because the dog ha the best nap in his life time.
The increase in human knowledge is the cause of the decline of religions.
I assumed it was drugged, its face seemed to suggest it. Based on what other people have said here, that seems to be the case. It wasn't a prop. Unless really good products in this area exist (which I doubt, I can't see amazing life-like fake dogs which move naturally when being carried being a staple thing for movies/TV like someone suggested here ROFL), it's real. And why would that be implemented in a small scale film like this? And how many films have people pick up 'dead' dogs to warrant such technology? This is the first one I've seen. Just lol. When Lucas is carrying it, the body was very soft and loose. Rigor mortis, search it.
Also seems like a lot of people want to believe that the dog was killed, a dead dog was used or some advanced fake dog was used. I don't get it. Actually, when Lucas picks it up, it was all CGI. There you go.
To be sure, simply boycott this film. They killed another animal anyway, so why watch it?
🐺 Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors) 🐾
Tranquilized?

A veterinarian could easily inject an anesthetic to temporarily put the animal "to sleep". Careful editing would be needed to avoid the viewer seeing the slowed breathing occurring during the anesthetized state. The flexibility of the "deceased" Fanny during "burial" is noticeable.
No injury to the dog would have occurred.
