Why She Throw Her Phone Away In Garbage?
In real life that doesnt set her free just makes her have to go thru all that hassle to buy a new phone when she learns she has to keep her number.

shareVery impractical, I agree. But it's more of a symbolic gesture.
And she doesn't look like she has very many friends or any at all, even just one best friend. As we saw in the movie, nobody called her on her cell when she was with her dad, except that guy asking for marriage(??), and her colleagues at the firm. She's one of those workaholic, no time for socializing type of women. So she's really just throwing away the numbers of people who has no importance in her life anymore.
Why are you all getting so deep into meanings and *beep* ....why did she throw away her phone, duh because she didnt need it anymore....after she checked the message ..that they wanted her cuzz ahole messed up the deal....she knew that it wasnt me contact them ...now it was they contact me if they want me. Plus she had already been given a week off and well ...they can fooking wait. Also she just found a fooking star baseball player to manage ...chaching!
shareMickey realized that there were things more important than being stuck in a dead end career that was going to continue to discriminate against her and get screwed for all her dedication and hard work.
shareShe was discriminated against for being a *beep* employee and missing out on an important presentation just for family. What a typical female employee! Jesus, to think of missing work just because your dad is going blind.

The things we hold important in business are lost and forgotten 98% of the time.
I surely did not expect or want COVID-19 to come along. But when it did and we started re-assessing our priorities, I hoped we would continue.
I guess it’s going to take a solar flare storm or something like that.
We sure aren’t the smartest creatures on the planet.
