Not one mentions the interesting filming strategy.
First act was shot in 16mm.
Second in a more modern film.
Third digitally.

Never noticed that.
The three act structure was apparent, but I didn’t catch a difference in the film grade.
Very cool!

Perhaps we notice subconsciously and the each segment looks more real because of it?

Perhaps they tried to do something fancy but in the end it didn't matter. Could be.

Extremely cool. I never knew this and this is one of my all time favorite films.
