I haven't seen it, but I'll give it credit.

I've only seen the trailer and at one point they show him going to some African village. I think it's an interesting way to make us think if we are sharing our opinions based on media opinions, or if that's how we really feel.

reply

Yes.

It points out that even in underdeveloped, undereducated, basic societies, their citizens *know* what a woman is - whereas in our enlightened, formally educated (in comparison) society, most of our citizens have no freakin' clue as to the answer.

It's a sad, sad state of affairs.

reply

I didn't take it as "undereducated societies", but as people who live the "natural" lifestyle ie. no electricity and media.

reply

underbrainwashed/-indoctrinated/-conditioned societies?

reply

unaware that there are other options societies?

reply

options societies?

reply

I should have said "unaware that there are other options" societies, but I followed your format because I thought you'd understand. Too much to ask, I guess.

reply

options" societies?

reply

Let's break it down even more simply. Let's say like an elementary teacher might to help their students understand.

You labeled these societies as under brainwashed/ indoctrinated/ and conditioned.

I relabeled these societies as unaware that there are other options.

reply

They don't know that they can have people who tell them what to think/say/do etc?

reply

No, that's ALL that they know.

reply

They do know that they can have people who tell them what to think/say/do etc, and that is all they know?

reply

Yes. You're walking into the point, but being willfully ignorant all the while. This will be my last response. Have fun.

reply

Waht is walking into the point?

reply

I'm sure the tribal people have some irrational beliefs and superstitions we would laugh at. Basically we can find stuff like that in all foreign cultures.

But sure the comparison still makes you think even with its limitations.

reply

Thank God we’ve eliminated irrational belief and superstition from our advanced, modern culture.

reply

The point was no society has in case you missed it.

reply

African village? Damn, I though it was Detroit.

reply

you're insulting people in African villages

reply

I'm sure this African village has cleaner water.

reply

No idea. But I'm sure it has less crime.
