I've only seen the trailer and at one point they show him going to some African village. I think it's an interesting way to make us think if we are sharing our opinions based on media opinions, or if that's how we really feel.
It points out that even in underdeveloped, undereducated, basic societies, their citizens *know* what a woman is - whereas in our enlightened, formally educated (in comparison) society, most of our citizens have no freakin' clue as to the answer.
I should have said "unaware that there are other options" societies, but I followed your format because I thought you'd understand. Too much to ask, I guess.
I'm sure the tribal people have some irrational beliefs and superstitions we would laugh at. Basically we can find stuff like that in all foreign cultures.
But sure the comparison still makes you think even with its limitations.
