It's contains a lot of clichés and references from other Hollywood movies. But Liam Neeson's character figuring it all out was still enjoyable to watch, even though this might be one of his weaker action movies. Not his fault. He always delivers.

I think it’s above average. It’s in the running for best plane thriller, with Red Eye. There are cliches, and the villains plot / motivations aren’t satisfying (I still don’t fully get what they wanted). But Liam Neeson is great in this role, and seeing him try to figure everything out is indeed fun

IMO, A better plane thriller would have to be "Executive Decision" starring Kurt Russell or "Air Force One" with Harrison Ford
