The Ending is....

Genius.

I love that ending, a lot of people complain about how it's a depressing ending & it's so downbeat & they were hoping for a happy ending. It's a horror film. They're suppose to be dramatic & haunting & that ending was perfect. The whole film had a cold & dark atmosphere & it kept it till the very end. You'd expect nothing less from a movie thats called 'Sinister'

Happy campy endings to horror films belong in the 80's & 90's, more horror films need more darker tones these days, I think Sinister is one of the more better horror films of the last decade, it does have it cliche horror moments but despite that I think its a great horror film.

If a horror movie makes you feel scared & uncomfortable & sticks with you long after the movie's over then it's done it's job & thats exactly what Sinister did for many viewers.

I liked the film but the ending was very predictable for me, may be I just watched too many horror films thats all.

I found the ending predictable, too.

Also, not a fan of Evil Kids and I can't say the children in this one excelled. There's absolutely no reaction to the fact that they killed their families, or that they are doomed for eternity to run around in crappy home movies, being Mr. Boogey's puppets. It's kinda hard to find them scary because there's no emotional connection.

Have you ever watched a horror film from the 80s and 90s? Campy happy endings?

What does watching 80s and 90s horror have to do with this film's crappy ending? A downer ending is not automatically great. Psycho has one of the best horror endings ever and that one's about as "happy" as you could expect in light of the premise.

Of course they have no emotional reaction. Baguul has turned there souls evil and they no longer have human love. As far as being doomed for eternity to be baguuls servants it is part of the same thing. They are either ,completely cold inside or enjoy tormenting people because their souls are tainted by baguul. Although I did notice a look of fear on ashleys face when baguul picks her up. And I will.say that though the kids follow baguul they still seem to fear him because in that same scene where Ashley is picked up the children run away from baguul as he is walking back into the screen.

I was responding to the guy that said 80's and 90's horror films had campy happy endings. Maybe learn to follow a conversation sometime.

Look at the conversation in thread mode. Does it look clear to you which person you're answering? Because guess what--it's not.

Next time, if you want to make it clear, unbunch your briefs and quote the post you're answering.

Its not my problem if you use thread mode and can't follow the conversation properly. I was never even speaking to you in the first place.
