In nearly every similarity and difference between it and its predecessor, The Batman only tries (and fails) to escape The Dark Knight's shadow.
I feel Pattinson's Batman is less physically gifted and more vulnerable (i.e weaker) than The Dark Knight's batman. You really felt he was in danger in many scenes

I've always being disappointed with Gotham in The Dark Knight just looking like a normal city.
TDK is obviously an influence on TB, but TB is still its own thing. They're both 9/10 movies for me.
shareFor all it's flaws, The Dark Knight never put me to sleep. There's occasional moments in this three hour snoozefest that held my attention - the car chase for example - but overall it's just a slog to get through.

I stopped and started this 5 times before I finished it.
By the third time, it was almost like a job because I was pushing myself to finish it.

If they cut Catwoman out of The Batman the movie would have been a lot better.
