The last 15 mins ? Worst ending ever?

So, I really liked the dark atmosphere in this movie, and I though the slower pace was going to lead us towards an epic ending, which never actually came.
It was basically just more slow pace, music and narration. The end. If the goal was to make me fall asleep, they actually succeeded.

Was this the worst ending in the history of cinema?

I liked the ending. It fulfilled a really satisfying character arc for Batman, in my opinion, and that made it a great ending.

I certainly liked it better than the ending to Identity.

You have been reported to the Hyperbole Police.

reply

The Hyperbole Police are sending every single officer they have, so heavily armed that they have depleted all the guns in their armoury, and they are descending on the target's position literally faster than any police or paramilitary force has ever deployed.

reply

The Hyperbole Police has been reported to The Hyperbole Internal Affairs.

Who, to ensure their own lack of corruption, have sent this as a memo on a sticky note.

Probably the worst Batman ending and certainly the worst Batman. He looked more the Penguin from Gotham than Batman... and my god he is supposed to be rich as shit but the best batmobile he can come up looks like something some high school meth addicts created in shop class... The film was bad.... And yes the last 15 minutes really showed the utter stupidity of the writers. They need to try and create a big potential problem so how do you do that in a city where the catastrophe is flooding? I know, lets say all the people went to a short arena in the middle of the city, ignore the fact that everyone in the city could have simply gone into any number of skyscrapers and been safe and sound till the waters were dealt with.

reply

yeah the movie falls apart after they capture the riddler.
