He did so as well in The West Wing. Where a secretary of state was a high profile republican, even had an acting republican president for a bried time. All throughout the series he envisioned Democrats and Republicans working together for the good of the country. Which of course was labeled as a too idealistic of him. Will McAvoy is no different from those republicans in WW.
Back to reality, where the republican party has been playing the obstructionist party since 112th congress to this day. Obummer was an incompetent president (even though they block every attempt to govern from the democrats), Hillary is the devil herself who should be in jail for treason (according to the hundreds if not thousands of comments all over the internet). And they have a candidate whose best comeback it's "no, you're the puppet". Holy *beep*
Republicans needs to hit bottom to reform itself and expell those ignorant bigots from the party. If only reps had chosen Kasich or even Jeb Bush.
