7 - she's as good as any other proven actor. Plus she has experience since she played the same character as she did in The Waterdance (1992) lol.

I assume you mean how she said 'Mark' very weird. Yeah that was annoying.

I'm a fan of Helen Hunt, and I thought she was absolutely outstanding in this movie. Her acting was spot on, she felt very real and natural. I'd definitely give her a 10 for the performance.

Wonderful performance. Confident, sincere and emotional. I've never really liked her but this performance makes me question why that was.

5...she was just Helen hunt. Same mannerisms..voice. I really like her as an actress but Oscar worthy...no. She took a lot of
risks playing nude but that's about it.

Looks like I am in the minority. Everytime I see Helen Hunt "act", I see Jamie Buchman (her character from 'Mad About You). IMO, the woman just reads the lines that are given to her. This time, she needed to have a Boston accent. I found she only changed the way she said "Mark", pronouncing it "Mac" and that was it.

This did not disappoint me, as I expected no more from her. What did disappoint me, was just now, discovering that she was nominated for an Oscar, while John Hawkes was not.
