Cant believe this isnt rated higher.....

If I would have gone by IMDB ratings on this one I would have regretted it .This movie is easily a 6.8 by the end. The bad reviews on this movie screams of payoffs for some odd reason. Its a Saturday night leave your brain at the door buddy movie.

I sense cult status on this movie one day, too many memorable lines. Effron was fine, he made fun of himself to the extreme, what else can you ask for.

De niro was better in this than the Fockers movies.

I can see how some people would not like this movie but the worst movie of all time? I am just baffled at the negative reviews. It is worth the price of admission. Its better than the Hangover 2 or 3.

If its not your cup of tea just give it a 5 and be on your way.

No female nudity in this, which makes it a 5 out of 10

People are giving it bad reviews because it is awful. This along with many other recent comedies have devolved into cringe worthy, overly meta garbage. I have no clue how anyone with an IQ higher than potato can sit through this pile of crap without wanting to suck start a twelve gauge shotgun. I have seen some pretty bad movies in my time, but this is on another level along with Neighbors 2.

If this movie had been called: "Overly drawn out incoherent scenes void of plot or purpose, with Robert Deniro" I might have been able to get through it without contemplating the aforementioned solution.

Higher? It's way too high as it is, it deserves to be rated just as low as the awful Friedberg/Seltzer "comedies". I hated this "comedy", it's offensive, not offensive in terms of sex jokes, etc. (I love R rated raunchy comedies) but in terms of how painfully unfunny it was. Mixing cuss words together as an insult nonstop is not funny, this film was made for one reason, to see De Niro act like a 13 year old immature boy. The film was also pathetic when it tried to be serious like with Glover's character or at the end where Efron meets up with his true love, blah blah blah, it's been done to death and done 500 times better before.

Dirty Grandpa is one of the worst comedies I have ever seen, it's unbelievably pathetic and painfully unfunny, the jokes if you can call them that are so forced and cringe worthy it's brutal to watch. Whatever happened to comedies where the humor comes natural to the stories like classics (The Big Lebowski) or even more recent comedies (Pineapple Express). To each their own, I don't understand the love for this movie, I guess it all boils down to whatever people find funny.
