I have my ticket ready but zero expectations
Tis' a strange feeling indeed 🤔
shareMe too, it's sad how Hollywood is nowadays.
shareIt’s best not to have expectations, you might appreciate it better that way. Maybe.
As for me, I started looking forward to this film after that first trailer/teaser dropped. And now that it’s getting acclaimed (yes, Hollywood’s people can get ‘em right sometimes), my anticipation has only grown.
Keep your expectations low but your standards high. It's not that great. I'm hoping i can erase it from memory so it won't mess up the original for me.
shareIt's not even in a realm where it could wreck the original. This isn't The Force Awakens. The sequel more than stands up on its own, although the original is better.
shareNothing can "mess up the original" unless you allow it to mess up the original. For me I just saw it and I'm still processing the film..... Not because it was a bad film. I had the same reaction way back in 1982 when I saw the original and even thirty five years later I'm still asking questions. Any good film does that. This is like comparing "2010: Odyssey Two" with "2001: A Space Odyssey". They're different films with different aims as are the original "Blade Runner" and "2049".
shareI actually found it quite enjoyable! 😃
