I rejoice in the choices of cast and director! Haters: Suck it!!

I am so satisfied in that I don't have to be a bitter pessimistic hater. Instead I grin everytime someone tries to piss all over this film, with comments on Deckard's choice of attire, Gosling as a lead, etc.

Villenueve was one of the best choices, his portfolio of films proves that.

And the cast looks promising. I don't expect anything groundbreaking and emotional from Gosling, as I didn't expect that from Ford either, in 1982. He will serve the story well.

The cast looks fantastic, Gosling is great and Ana de armas is also fantastic. Teaser looks promising as well!

I agree with you on all your points.

I think a lot of people who are upset with Gosling seem to only know him from his more popular films like The Notebook and Crazy Stupid Love. Maybe it's because he's not an "action hero" type actor like Harrison Ford was, who was only really known for Han Solo and Indiana Jones at the time. Gosling has done great work in Half Nelson and Blue Valentine. I also think people forget that this is a sci-fi / cyberpunk film, and it doesn't necessarily need Oscar worthy performances. I think he'll do just fine.

I'm also really excited to see this coming from Villenueve, as Sicario and Arrival were both amazing and I plan to check out the rest of his work.
