I rejoice in the choices of cast and director! Haters: Suck it!!

I am so satisfied in that I don't have to be a bitter pessimistic hater. Instead I grin everytime someone tries to piss all over this film, with comments on Deckard's choice of attire, Gosling as a lead, etc.

Villenueve was one of the best choices, his portfolio of films proves that.

And the cast looks promising. I don't expect anything groundbreaking and emotional from Gosling, as I didn't expect that from Ford either, in 1982. He will serve the story well.

Yep, people just love to complain about everything. Gosling and Deckard are likely going to be a similar role. But the replicants have always been the ones who had the most exciting performances in the movie.

I guess all the complaints about Deckards shirt is a good sign, if that is ALL people have to whine about is the friggin shirt. Now I can see why people would cry about Alien Covenant, seeing as how that certainly has a couple things about it....

I concur, a hater is going to hate, there's nothing we can do about that, but it's their loss. How anyone can make a negative conclusion off a 30 second teaser trailer is beyond me.

I don't think people hate it because of that teaser, it's just a deeply revered film. I personally don't mind the casting choices, or director. I just want a very strong story, and the look of the film to matchup well with the original. That's really all I care about.

I don't really have much to add to this convo, but I just wanted to say that I'm pretty hyped for this movie.

Had to scroll past like 30 threads of people criticizing the movie to finally get to one that had an optimistic outlook. That was kind of sad.

Still hyped.

The director/actor dream team I was hoping for (through I knew perfectly well it wasn't going to happen) was Christopher Nolan directing and Christian Bale as the blade runner. Nolan does 'atmospheric' very well; Bale broods with the best of them.
