Can anyone spoil the plot?

How it connects to the first movie — the company that Ian Holm worked for actually found the alien that Ripley ejected at the end of the first movie. Their goal was to research the alien to improve human DNA. But the alien that Ripley ejected in the first movie actually never died . It “woke up” when the company was researching it, started killing people, and everyone abandoned the station (until the characters in this movie entered)
