2 episodes in season 3 and Ani is making this very difficult to watch. She just doesn't fit in the crowd, the rest of them seem to have trusted her too easily.
Will she be narrating every episode? The English accent seems very out of place. Terrible casting!
Gotta agree with you on this! Just finished season 3 and she was more of a distraction for me. I don't understand why her opinion seem to be the most important vs the rest of the group.
THANK YOU! I was talking about that with a friend and we both HATE HER!
They wrote her character to be like this "strong black woman"... he's obnoxious as hell, walking around like "Oh look at me, I'm Harriet the spy from Africa!!"
YES! I was coming here to say this exact thing. I don't understand how or why she was thrown in the center of everyone and, like Clay, had to know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE like it was her business. That annoyed me about Clay. Constantly in everyone's business and now there are two of them and she just came out of nowhere with her nosiness.
I agree with everything the OP and the others wrote.
I also just started third episode and I canβt get into it, I might just give up.
Ani is so annoying.
Not sure if just her is the problem or this season would be mediocre without her too, or maybe I just got bored with the whole premise of the show after two seasons.
I've now seen 7 episodes, I'm finding the storyline very interesting. The scenes Arni isn't in are very good, the problem is she's in almost all the scenes.
Thanks for the heads up, I will try to stick it out if it gets interesting.
Actually I was feeling like quitting as I was bored (especially with Ani) and at the same time was interested to know what will happen in the end, but boredom felt overwhelming.
So should I just fast forward scenes with Ani? ππ
Unfortunately, if you try to skip all the scenes with that bitch, you'll be confused as fuuuuuck. She, literally, spoon feeds you everything - start to finish.
Interjecting a completely new and unrelated character with that smartass accent and holier than though attitude while, also, putting her story front and center, ticked all the wrong boxes with me. They thought they could take the risks, they were wrong...
What did Arnie ever do to you? He's a national treasure! πππ
Ani, on the other hand, just fucking horrible and I'm not sure if it was the way they wrote her or the quirk of being Black and British. Personnaly, I'm gonna lean with a casting mistake. You don't just cast a diversity quota and put her front and center of the whole FUCKING story.
Haha I think Arnie would have been a better casting option.
I'm from England and I talk and hear Ani's accent daily. But even then everytime Ani talks it annoys me so much. Terrible casting choice she just does not fit in to the show. Nothing against the person that play Ani
