What a huge step back for Michael B. Jordan

Like going from playing for the bulls to playing for the Wizards.

From Fruitvale Station to this crap.
I thought bigger and better things would be ahead for him after the performance he had in the previous movie.

He was actually good in this movie( I only went to see him) I agree this will give him more exposure to set him up for Creed.

Although this film wasn't great, he still isn't a huge star yet. Doing a film like this might help gain new fans, put his face out there more. Etc.

Um no one even knows who he is. So any movie at this point would help him out. Just becauase he was in fruitvale station doesn't mean that the world knows of him. He will need to get himself some exposure if he wants to make it. You're acting like hes Ryan Gosling or something.

For one thing who's to judge an actors marketability? MBJ is a lucky dude right now and he knows it. Which is why I don't think he needs all this help you seem to think he needs. He's not toiling away in obscurity.

Enough people IN THE INDUSTRY know who he is to get him the scripts and the roles to take him to the next level. Fruitvale Station might not have been box office bait but it has elevated his status critically which is important for longevity. Just because That Awkward Moment isn't #1 at the box office doesn't mean he will fall off the face of the earth. It will not hurt his career.

As far as I'm concerned he's made it without having to be a megastar and losing his anonymity which happens with celebrity and being so called famous. He's doing quite well right now, thank you very much. If grandma in Peoria doesn't know who he is, that fine by me and I'm sure by him too.

I get the reference and your meaning but it's funny you say this given as of today the Bulls are down 0-2 to the Wizards in the first round, and will most likely lose the series.
