Okay folks what u think was better southpaw or Creed.

I am a true rocky fan and I have watched both movies twice and to be honest hands down I have to give it too Southpaw.The story was slightly better and more exciting.I thought Michael B Jordan in creed just didnt do it for me. Dont get me wrong he is a good actor but his character in creed is missing something.
I heard Creed 2 is on its way with or with out Stallone but my thoughts without Rocky being in Creed 2 definitely will not work

U know what mate I have to agree with. I thought Creed was completely crap and was lacking excitement.

If creed 2 is going to be getting filmed they may come of with a cracking excitement story or it wont work

As a massive Rocky fan I really enjoyed Creed. But Southpaw was better. As for Creed 2? No!

I have to categorically disagree with this entire statement.

Rocky I, II and Balboa were better than Southpaw. I liked it slightly more than Creed, but I thought that Gyllenhaal gave a better performance than Jordan. Also, the Billy Hope character was deeper and had a higher mountain to climb, in my opinion.

You can't compare Rocky 1 and 2 to this as they are hands down the best boxing movies of all time.
However this movie was much better than Creed. I don't know whether it was Jordan's performance or the script, but I just didn't care about his character, and the movie felt really flat to me.
The best part of Creed was Tony Bellews character, which is quite impressive considering he is not even an actor.

I just finally got around to Southpaw and was going to make a discussion on it and yes I agree all the way. Southpaw is miles better. Yes it was very cliche but the emotion , the actors, the story. You couldnt help but root and get so invested in this film. The only time I felt alittle emotional was when Rocky found out he had cancer. That was it. Sorry Michael B Jordan does show he can be a good actor but I dont feel it with Creed. Hope will destroy Creed anyday baby. People that say otherwise is just because they are on Rocky nostalgia and I agree Rocky 4 maybe the best boxing movie ever but in my opinion the next few to follow is Southpaw Cinderella Man and Ali. Creed was good but thats it. Sequels are not important here.

Better than Creed, yes.

Better than original Rocky, no. SP was more realistic so somewhat depressing. The original Rocky left you feeling good.

Southpaw was robbed at the Oscars last year; in fact I think a lot movies that wasn't nominated was Rob. I hate how they nominate the same actors year by year so tired seeing the same actors being nominated. Jake Gyllenhaal should been nominated last year.

you mean this year. the film came out mid 2015 so it would have qualified for the 2016 oscars. Jake was good enough to be nominated yes but wouldn't have beat Leo. no way.

It didn't get robbed of anything. I haven't seen a more cliche ridden movie like this for years! This 7,5 rating on IMDb movie is insane! Critics for sure didn't like it, for good reasons. Southpaw is another example that zombies has taken over IMDb.
Creed vs. Southpaw. Creed is the better one.

Southpaw was way better I can watch it over and over creed was good but it was played out
