Better Than Europa Report

I think it's all tied to expectations.

I liked Apollo 18 for what it was. Truthfully, I didn't expect anything other than what I got, which was basically "Blair Witch Project in Space." By that, I mean the style in which the story was presented (lost film footage).

Europa report was a vastly underrated movie. It was done on a low budget but was certainly a fine space exploration movie. I liked it more than The Martian, which I think is a tad bit overrated. Moon was by far the best of these types of movies though.

Europa Report was better, if only because it featured an international crew. None of the scientists seemed like morons, as is the case in many American films about space exploration (especially in the latest Alien sequels - yes, I know Scott is English, but the films are American). All in all, Europa Report was one of the best sci-fi films in the last decade, while Apollo 18 was akin to red planet - crappy horror film set in space. What pisses me off though is that I saw this film because it was recommended on the europa report - and it was said to be better than EP. It's much worse, I feel like I wasted 90 minutes of my time on trash - and fuck you for saying that it's in any way shape or form better than EP.
