please no Stu

It would be so lame. Don't get me wrong, I like both the actor and the character. But there's no believable way for him to be alive without the big 3 knowing about it and commenting on it, so it would just feel too ridiculous and out there for him to pop up at this point.

Additionally, there'd be no point in bringing him back for anything less than the main villain role. And the chances of them managing that in secret in today's world are pretty much nil. Which would ruin any possible narrative effectiveness.

Also, while #5 played appropriate homage to what came before, this would feel like looking a little *too* much in the past, especially after #5 including Stu's nephew, and former home.

Lastly, while I could be wrong, while Wes Craven commented on Kirby likely being alive, he never said anything about Stu.

I don't want to be one of the toxic fans that #5 calls out, but resurrecting someone, especially a killer, or going supernatural, are pretty much would make me lose it for this franchise.

I love Lillard and would watch him in practically anything, but I agree it would make no sense at all for Stu to return.

I agree. But if any daytime soap writers had a hand in this, the actor would return as Stu's long lost twin brother!

Lol, good one!

reply

I agree, he’s not necessary.
