You could tell by the midway point of the movie, Miller was going to escape any potential charges. You could tell he wouldn't be held accountable for anything. Just way to predictable

Also predictable: That Susan S. would play a character who tries to justify her living in such wealth and opulence for so long by trying to get her evil money-making husband (the man who provided said wealth) to basically sign away his ill-gotten wealth for a 'higher purpose' of her choosing -- thus she can feel morally superior.
Maybe the wife thought she could even throw some of the dollars toward carbon offsets.
