Did Kilmer lose weight for his reappearance?
Or did they work the weight gain into the role?
I think there was some photoshop touch up on his picture. He in no way looks like that in real life. It seems they kept the best parts of him as if he were Tom Cruise.

shareI don't know, but I strongly suspect that the funeral you see Maverick attending in the movie trailer is Iceman's. They said Kilmer is in the movie, and Tom Cruise lobbied hard to get him in. I think it highly likely he is seen earlier in the picture as terminally ill, and subsequently dies.
shareyep, I'm pretty sure there will be a "last visit", probably on his deathbed..buutttt, since we are all so wussified in today's world, it might not be in a hospital with a bunch of tubes sticking out..might be at Iceman's house, one final talk for old times sake in his man cave. One thing for sure, it will be short and sappy.
