What a boring, weird, let down of a movie

After they recapped the ending showing us what things were done, which was so predictable as to it being him, there were so many scenes that were pure luck to the plot.
The bike, there's no way Oliver would have known Felix was just going to be sitting there waiting on the side of the road like a damsel in distress. The bar tab. There would have been no way him being able to know of all the people drinking at the bar that Felix was going to be the one to pay the tab.
OK so he has siblings and parents that weren't junkies. How did that fit into the movie at all? Why did he need to run with that lie? Felix didn't need to hear that to befriend him. Oliver was still a weirdo.
Other than that at what point did he target Felix and his family and why?
Lastly, why did we need to see his weenie?

reply

You poor thing. You should’ve stayed home and skipped this movie.

reply

he makes some very valid points though.
people can't have different opinions then yours?
a fora is only for blind worship and praise? all the rest need to shut up?

reply

Guy just wanted to say something w/o saying anything worth saying. Typical troll behavior.

reply

He completely misses what motivates Oliver - in fact he misses the fun of the whole story. He even complains about seeing his dick, like a prissy, uptight nun. No imagination or appreciation of storytelling.

reply

Why don't you enlighten us then? What motivates him? It's easy to just say "oh you missed it" but if you have some insight, by all means, please share it with us lol

reply

I didn’t bother to explain Oliver’s motivation because the movie makes it obvious to all but the most dense. Oliver is pathologically jealous of those of wealth & position, & focuses on Felix because he’s attracted to him. He obsessively follows a plan to remove all obstacles to getting the Cattons’ money & lifestyle for himself. Are you “enlightened” now?

reply

He already came from a wealthy family. Didn’t you watch the film?

reply

ROTFL! What a moron! You think Oliver came from a wealthy family? Didn’t YOU watch the film?

reply

You don’t remember his parents house? It’s worth at least 900K.

I might be a moron but at least I’m not a dick.

reply

"at least I'm not a dick."

Another inaccurate assertion.

reply

Ooh you are SO mean! You big meanie.

You’ve done made a grown man cry.
Happy?

reply

I didn't go anywhere. I streamed it :)

reply

It was NOT predictable that he was the villain of the story. You're just pretending to be smart for figuring it out before the reveal.

"OK so he has siblings and parents that weren't junkies. How did that fit into the movie at all? Why did he need to run with that lie?"

He created a persona so the rich people would take pity on him.

Dancing naked in his new home represented freedom.

reply

You're so smart. Congrats.

reply

Doesn't take a genius to get what the director was going for. I thought you found it predictable?

reply

No, you're the genius.

reply

I agree with what you said except about the predictability. I didn’t even think it was meant to be a mystery until that embarrassing montage at the end.

reply

It is a good movie, but yet another forgettable one. The "how he did it" ending was kinda lame and the whole story is not particularly believable, but it is interesting and the few offensive scenes are funny. Good acting. I especially enjoyed Alison Oliver's bathtub scene. She killed it.

reply

Did you not get that the story wasn’t meant to be believable?

reply

You mean, like they warned at the beginning or something? Or you just made it up, which looks more likely?
