Mmm...Sir...I think you forgot all of his domestic policy.

-Reaganomics was largely glossed over.
-Nothing about his deal to put the first woman in the supreme court
-Nothing about killing the ERA
-Nothing about MLK day
-Nothing about the aids crisis
-Nothing about the Haiti immigrants (not domestic but still).
-The Iran Contra scandal was mentioned but maybe for 5 minutes and was resolved off screen despite the movie admitting that the president probably knew about it

This just being off the top of my head.

In other words, they're basically saying he was a good president.

The movie already goes over 2 hours as it is though

reply

Yes. Just 2 hours of "communism bad" which is true, but there's so much more to Reagan,'s presidency.

Reaganomics? I had unskilled, low-paying jobs in the 1980s and I could afford a decent one-bedroom apartment by myself, even in overpriced southern Califiornia. Nobody earning the current equivalent of what I was making then can do that today.

Putting the first woman in the Supreme Court? Not many people are opposed to that.

The ERA? He supported it when he was governor, but as president came to the correct conclusion that it was redundant.

MLK Day? He made it a holiday. Once again, nobody's complaining.

AIDS? Not his fault. One of those afflictions that mainly targeted one demographic, who could easily have avoided the problem with a simple lifestyle change.

Haiti immigrants? He tried to stop them. Good for him! If only we had that kind of anti illegal alien resolve in our current government.

Iran-Contra? As you said, the movie addressed it briefly. Iran-Contra isn't what the movie is about.
