Martin sedates tiger with tranquilizer dart, smuggles tiger out of Tasmania and relocates it to remote, deserted island where it'll be safe, takes a few blood samples, sells samples to multi-national drug company for $155 million, buys luxury beach home, lives happily ever after with Lucy and the kids.
Better ending: Martin sedated the tiger and extracts the serum which paralyzed people. He then goes covertly to RL headquarters and pricks all the head honchos there with the serum, puts on a Tasmanian Tiger costume, and threatens them never to mess with the TT ever again. He then marries Lucy and they go win the kids to live on an island resort. Fade to black ending.

I would have left everything as it is but after the credits I would have cut back into the woods, where we would see a pair of grown up Tigers nursing two or three babies.

lol. i needed that, this movie was kind of sad at the end (and I got really involved with the characters, especially lucy and the kids).
i kept hoping he'd saved a vial of blood before burning the tiger.
but I was reading about the tasmanian tiger before watching the movie and relocating would have definitely killed it. no tigers survived any natural habitat relocations apparently (zoos were ok of course, and extended tigers' lives).

Dafoe should have been riding away on a horse and the kid yelling, "Come back, Shane!" Perfect ending.
