Who is the target audience for this film?

Legit question. Who is it?

It is certainly not me. And as I sit here and think about it, I can't put my finger on exactly what demographic is the one whose members are going to see this trailer and decide they want to go see this thing.

Great question! It's muddled. I tend to believe chick flick, but both guys are ugly which usually means guy movie (relatable plain guy gets the hot girl).

Zendaya fans and young people definitely. Maybe tennis fans.

Zendaya is a strange-looking creature herself, so it's a movie of weirdly odd-looking folk.

reply

I don't disagree with that. LOL!

I just saw the movie. Target audience is likely females 20-40s.

The movie was layered, edgy, unique and quirky although traditional themes about friendship and romance.

People, like myself, who want to fap in the theater to Zendaya.

And tennis advocates.

But honestly OP, I think it's a bait and switch thing they're pulling. You're expecting to see Zendaya but instead you're tricked into watching two dudes making out.

"two dudes making out."

ohhh , now its all become clear, thats whats got PrimeMinisterX starting this thread and ranting about "deviant behavior" in most of his replies

If that's his beef, I totally understand. Most of your average gooners and hornytoads are going to watch challengers for Zendaya. I personally hope there are scenes of her all sweaty after playing tennis; like Anna Kournikova style.

It would piss me off too if I went to Blue is the Warmest Color and got Broke Back Mountain instead.

I attended a free screening. Thank goodness I did not pay for a ticket. It was so boring. I'm not joking, I kept falling asleep and I do like Zendaya. But this was just a snooze-fest 😖😴

Fans of Jules and Jim perhaps? :-)

Young women.

The cinema was full of groups of 2, 19-29, scattered around the theatre.

One guy in his 40s with his wife. A young couple. The wife and I. 2 guys walked in late and sat at the back.

The advertising was mostly womencentric. Moisturiser, make up products, an Adidas commercial centred around women's sports.

Each trailer opened with a young woman's face in the centre of the screen. All womencentric, no summer blockbusters or action in the trailers.

The core audience is bisexual men.

Her fans are the target audience.
