Stallone perfectly cast
He’s clearly intimidating, given the physical traits. And being visibly Italian, he is believable as a mafia-man. For those reasons, he’s able to do the intense action and crime scenes. But at the same time, he still comes off as cartoonish, which allows him to pull off the comedy too. I can’t think of another actor who might’ve been able to pull off this role the way Sly does. Maybe DeNiro, but I don’t think DeNiro would’ve been as credible as a tough guy
