How old were you when you saw the original 'American Pie'?
I saw it when I was 14 for the first time, borrowed it off a friend after trying to see it for so long. That was in 2002.

Bits and pieces circa the time it came to BlockBuster around age 6.

I was 23 at the time.
I watched some young in's sneak in, get caught, get thrown out and one of the girls clocked another with her purse saying, I told you this wouldn't work!
I think I may have been around 7...
shareI was 23 going on 24 in 1999. I remember feeling really stupid going to see a high school movie at age 23 1/2 (even if a lot of the cast were around my age), but I was still a college undergrad and a few friends insisted we see this. Two of my friends were 19 and 20 and they still wanted to see high school flicks back then. The other two were my age but we all caved and went to see it. I felt like high school was 6 years away (I graduated HS in 1993) and long gone, but I was dragged to see it and pleasantly surprised.
OK I laughed a lot, but at the time in 1999 I do remember thinking it wasn't as good as Porky's or other raunchy teen movies. Today I'm 36 and the characters don't feel as much younger then me as they did back then, especially if they're 31. I can relate to the American Pie characters lives a lot more
now then back then.
It's weird that American Pie is now seen as this "classic" movie today, but I guess that's how life goes.

Saw it on TV for the first time when I was 14. It wasn't until I was about 18 though when I fell in love with the series. I'm 20 now.
