The ending (spoilers)

Without getting into all the small problems this movie had with realism (like the apparent straight horizontal leap made from the cliff to the tree-tops), I would just like to point out the final scene:
Henrick (or was it Talget, I forget ... ) falls in the river and is carried away only to get his foot stuck between two rocks and drown.
Ottway jumps in to try to save him. He gets almost completely submerged too and is competely drenched afterwards. There is no way he (or anyone else) would survive this. Hypothermia would finish him off in a matter of minutes. He even keeps on the cold, wet clothes .....
It´s still possible to enjoy the character development and such, but with that kind of ending, the film suffers deeply.
