Should Have Stayed With the Plane

They would have been searched for. The flight plan was known along with estimated time of arrival.

The woods they headed for would hold the wolves' den by providing cover. To hike in knee deep snow won't get you far without snowshoes.

They had shelter and resources at the wreckage.

True.. Aside from not jinxing your flight with stupid jokes all the survival knowledge in this movie is inverted.

So it's pretty much what not to do, when your plane crashes.

i agree

No kidding!! I was like "why are you leaving a possible shelter from the weather and the wolves to go bare into the woods without even a tent? If they took their time they could have found more food, water, maybe a working radio. They would have access to clothes and they could have moved some of the debris to close off fuselage at night. Just dumb!! But then again would be a different movie. I was entertained though.

They said nobody was coming in that remote area unless they sent 50 planes to search the area. And the wolves had marked the plane site

I don’t find either explanation credible. A lot of people were on that plane. Some of their family members would make noise and demand an investigation. There would have been a big search and rescue for sure

As for the wolves - they have a lot of resources at the plane that they could’ve used to fortify the crash site
